Image may contain: one or more people, twilight, sky, outdoor and natureI have news about Pagan Pride Raleigh and the Central NC Pagan Pride Day organization.  For the past 6 years the leadership team has been trying to find and groom our replacements, but we have not succeeded. Every year at our planning meetings we have been saying "This is our last year", but then we step up and do it again because we must.  Unfortunately, as you all know, we had a last minute venue change in 2017. Our location for 16 years was no longer available to rent, which we found out after most of the planning was done. Our leadership team pulled out the stops and made the event happen anyway in a new space, bigger and better than ever, but the cost was great. To make it happen, we burned through our financial reserves, plus the additional time and stress affected our personal and professional lives. So it is with a heavy heart that I announce that our mantra of "This is our last year" was finally true.  It has been an amazing 17 years!

Even though the current team is leaving, the event can continue.  A call has been put out to those that have participated over the years, to our volunteers, vendors and local groups, looking for folks willing to start a new organization for this area.  In case you are interested, keep in mind that the event can change dramatically, getting a new name, becoming bigger or smaller, and maybe not even staying in Raleigh. As long as it is within about a half hour, includes a press release, a public ritual and a food drive, it can continue the legacy of Central NC Pagan Pride Day. I can't wait to meet the new Central NC Pagan Pride Day Leadership Team and see what they do!

If you are willing to take on a leadership role in creating a new organization, please let us know by posting to the form at  Be sure to check the "Organize a New Event" box under "How would you like to get involved?".

Thanks for being a part of Central NC Pagan Pride Day.

Best Regards and Warmest Blessings,
